Pat the chicken dry & use a spoon to loosen the skin from the flesh.

Combine the seasonings, 1 tablespoon lemon juice from the lemon, and the melted butter.

Add chicken broth or water to bottom of instant pot and add metal rack.

Stuff the cavity of the chicken with the garlic cloves and the half lemon.

Place the chicken breast-side up in the instant pot. Pour half the butter mixture under the skin, and then spread the rest on top of the skin.

Set cook time for 24 mins (6 mins per pound) with 15 minute natural release.
